Charlotte, North Carolina Office

Charlotte is our gateway to projects located throughout the southeastern United States. With an office located in Charlotte for over 15 years successfully managing projects in South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Florida.

General Manager Mike Bedell leads our efforts in the Southeast with a local and regional focus that is supported by Walbridge’s national footprint.  Mike has more than three decades of experience in the construction industry, his resume includes experience on a variety of projects ranging from: higher education, K-12 education, up-fit work, large-scale multi-story office and industrial/manufacturing projects.

Our Charlotte office has received awards as one of the Healthiest Employers of Greater Charlotte from the Charlotte Business Journal, we have been named among the Best Places to Work by the Charlotte Business Journal and as of 2020, the Charlotte Business Journal named our office the fourth largest general contractor in the region.

We have constructed new facilities for: BMW, Boeing, Bridgestone, Benteler, Continental Tire, ZF Transmissions, Pratt Whitney, Pepsi, Kobelco, Mazda-Toyota Manufacturing, Volkswagen and many others.  Infrastructure Projects for Charlotte Douglass International Airport, Jacksonville Airport Authority, Southwest Georgia Regional Airport, as well as a new parking structure on the UNC Charlotte Campus.

In addition, we support the mission of Military Construction in the United States and have worked on multiple military bases across the Carolinas, Virginia, Georgia and Alabama.

Our Charlotte Operation is a full-service Business Unit – with the ability to manage projects across the full spectrum of delivery systems:  Construction Manager at Risk, Design-Build and General Contractor.
