For more than a century, our construction efforts have been at the forefront of the industry. The Walbridge difference is built within our Core Values.
We have a strong foundation and culture built around one Core Purpose: “Safely deliver world-class facilities and related services for our customers’ success.”
We do that in a variety of ways.
Safety-First Culture

Walbridge’s safety-first culture is in everything we do.
From daily safety huddles, pre-task analysis, red-tape apprentice identification protocols and others, our goal is to get everyone home, safely, after every shift.
Our industry-leading safety record is a result of training, accountability and constant discussions on improvement.
Like our jobsite signs say: We have zero tolerance for unsafe behavior.
Sustainability

Long-time pioneers of the sustainability efforts, our team has worked tirelessly to improve “green construction” efforts over many, many decades.
Most recently, our team signed a first-of-its-kind partnership for timber-hybrid solutions with Cree Buildings.
But our sustainability efforts have been longstanding, including our proprietary GreenWISESM program.
Focused on ways to lower a project’s impact on the environment, our team has created best practices to be sustainable on the job through the program.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

A Walbridge’s Core Values is to “Embrace diversity, equity and inclusion and recognize it as an advantage.” That’s something our teams take to heart. Diversity, equity and inclusion only stand to positively impact our company and the construction industry as a whole. As leaders in Supplier Diversity, that means supporting a wide variety of partners and contractors and helping them grow in this industry.
Walbridge also appreciates the rich cultures and heritage of all of our employees. Recently, we added an extra holiday for all employees, called Inclusion Diversity Equity Advancement (IDEA) Day. As a floating holiday, it’s an opportunity for our team to celebrate the incredible diversity throughout our organization.
U.S. Best Managed Companies

Walbridge was selected as a 2021 US Best Managed Company – an annual program recognizing outstanding U.S. private companies and their management teams’ achievements. Sponsored by Deloitte Private and The Wall Street Journal, applicants are evaluated by external judges.
The 2021 designees are U.S. private companies that have demonstrated excellence in strategic planning and execution, a commitment to their people and fostering a dynamic, resilient culture, as well as strong financials, all while facing the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite significant challenges and immense pressure, they continued to lead with purpose and the vision to make significant contributions to their industries, communities, workforces and the economy.
The honor speaks to Walbridge’s culture and the driven individuals who work here daily. Our composed, “Get it done” attitude is extensive across all our jobs.
Community Engagement

Among Walbridge’s Core Values is a commitment to our community: “Positively impact society through sustainability, promoting volunteerism and improving the welfare of others.”
There are thousands of different ways our team makes a difference in the community. From food drives, supporting local nonprofits to spending a morning picking up trash near a project site – our teams take a special interest in supporting where we live, work and spend time.
While that effort may look a little different for each project, office and individual, there’s one thing the Walbridge team shares in common – an ability to make a difference in the community through their actions.
