Tectonics is in the Pizzazz Business

When a helicopter lifted a brand-new 2017 Cadillac XT5 away from a launch party and into the sky over the Hudson River in September 2015, it became an auto industry night to remember. But it wasn’t a spur of the moment thing. The company hired to create the spectacular event turned to Tectonics of Warren, Mich. to construct the steel platform and rigging points required to ensure a stable magic carpet ride for Cadillac’s newest luxury model.

Tectonics is in the pizzazz business. It engineers, prints, and fabricates structures, booths, displays, banners, wraps and more in order to “transform environments, moods and minds.”

Tectonics representatives Frank Moceri and Mark Kraft paid a visit to Walbridge on June 20 and spoke to the company’s Get Work team. Moceri said you see the Warren company’s work in retail stores, trade show booths, and at various corporate headquarters buildings. It’s Tectonics’ job to make sure the client’s image, brand and message come through loud and clear in graphics, vinyl and mesh banners, and architecture and décor solutions.

“Our success is contingent on the success of our clients, so we’ll do whatever it takes to make sure they succeed,” Moceri wrote in an email exchange after the meeting. “We’re client-centric all the way.”

Clients include Sports Authority, Coca-Cola, and Dick’s Sporting Goods. Tectonics maintains offices in Warren, Mich., Las Vegas, Atlanta, and Chicago.

Moceri showed an example of his firm’s work with fabric on extrusion frames. Tectonics assembled 30-foot high Roman numerals XLIX prior to the 2015 Super Bowl game between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks.

“We handle our own installation and work with outside companies,” Moceri said. As far as geographic coverage goes, he added, “it’s across the United States.”
