Walbridge developed 15 acres of existing farmland before building Ventra’s 233,800-square-foot plastic-component automotive manufacturing/assembly facility. Formerly Meridian Automotive, Ventra’s Fowlerville facility manufactures front and rear fascias and bumper systems. It houses injection molding operations, painting, assembly, warehousing and office space.
The one-story manufacturing facility is divided into five separate operations; the main manufacturing operations are comprised of a 144,900-square-foot pre-engineered production building and a 5,600-square-foot office building. A 9,900-square-foot pre-engineered building was constructed to house the compressor and chiller rooms, a re-grind crib and tooling, maintenance, repair and operations spaces. The paint facility is housed in a 66,200-square-foot building that houses a 7,000-square-foot sludge room, as well as paint mix and paint storage.
Walbridge provided all systems to support manufacturing, including process piping, chillers and piping, compressed air and distribution, crane and conveyor systems, pits and equipment foundations.
