Walbridge served as construction manager of the University of Michigan Mosher Jordan project, which brought renovations to 145,000 square feet of residential space and new construction of an attached 35,000-square-foot dining facility.
Modernizing Mosher Jordan included installing air conditioning, high-speed wireless internet, new fire detection and suppression systems, new elevators, renovated bath facilities, accessibility improvements and all new plumbing, heating and ventilation. The project also involved interior demolition, asbestos remediation, façade maintenance, and building a new central entrance and lobby. The dining facility provides dining for 800, café seating for 100, a market place and two kitchens. The $65 million project also included construction of a 7,600-square-foot mechanical building.
