St. Frances Cabrini Clinic of the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Detroit is the state’s oldest free health care clinic. For 50 years, the clinic operated out of a small wing of Most Holy Trinity School.
Cabrini Clinic received generous grants from several foundations and charitable organizations, allowing it to begin renovation of the church’s vacant convent into a new clinic. The new clinic was built with six examination rooms, four offices, bathrooms, a patient education room, a large pharmacy, a volunteer break room, a waiting room and reception area. By nearly doubling in size, the new clinic increased its capacity to serve 125 patients per week.
Walbridge provided construction management services for the project at-cost and coordinated efforts among subcontractors to donate products and materials for the new clinic.
