Walbridge constructed a $32.4 million three-building middle school to serve 1,300 sixth- through eighth-graders in Springhill, Fla.

The main building is three stories and contains the majority of core-curriculum and elective classrooms, a media center and a three-story atrium. The two smaller buildings house the gymnasium and cafeteria.

Security features include motion and sound detection systems in common areas, monitored 24 hours a day; and more than 30 surveillance cameras placed at all entrances, exits and hallways, and at various exterior locations on the property. Walbridge also constructed a 58.2-acre track, basketball and tennis courts, and football and soccer fields.

The project scope included improvements to existing county roadways on the south and west sides of the property, as well as relocating utility connections.
