Walbridge completed the Program/Construction Management for Chrysler’s new aero-acoustic wind tunnel program. The program consisted of one wind circuit capable of speeds of approximately 125 mph.
The wind tunnel circuit is exposed and constructed of reinforced concrete. The tunnel is fully instrumented for aerodynamic and acoustic testing to include pressure variances, sound and vehicle wind noise through variable vehicle orientations.
The tunnel was completed in 2002, after walbridge.completed Chrysler’s headquarters and tech center in the mid-90s.
