The BMW TNS Mills IC2 project consisted of two packages: vast site work, and a warehouse addition and renovation. The site work included demolition, removal and disposal of existing asphalt paving, a fuel oil tank and its foundation, existing fire hose cabinet foundation, gravel road and three existing light pole bases; saw cut and removal of curbs and gutters of an onsite parking lot; pipe, headwalls, structures, excavation and backfill for an access road to the BMW Assembly Plant; as well as clearing, grubbing, installation of drainage swales, grading to accommodate pavement base, topsoil, and grading of topsoil to accommodate seeding, landscaping and paving.
The warehouse work included partial demolition of and refurbishing an existing 455,000-square-foot building; as well as a 71,000-square-foot expansion. The addition included foundations, floor slab, structural steel framing, walls, finish painting, roofing, doors and dock equipment for 19 stations. The project also included a modular Guard House and infrastructure for IT cabling.
