DETROIT, Mich. – Walbridge CEO Mike Haller is committing Walbridge to advance diversity and inclusion within its workplace.
Earlier this month, Walbridge CEO Mike Haller added his signature to a commitment with CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion ™ – a “unique coalition of more than 1,300 CEOs have signed on to this commitment, agreeing to take action to cultivate environments where diverse experiences and perspectives are welcomed and where employees feel comfortable and encouraged to discuss diversity and inclusion.”
“Words without action is not the Walbridge way,” Haller said. “Inclusion of all is not just beneficial to this company, but to society. I’m immensely proud of this signature and to stand united with other companies across the country in standing for inclusion within the workplace.”
Launched in 2017, companies that sign agreements with CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion™ pledge to:
- Continue to cultivate workplaces that support open dialogue on complex, and sometimes difficult, conversations about diversity and inclusion
- Implement and expand unconscious bias education
- Share best known—and unsuccessful—actions
- Create and share strategic inclusion and diversity plans with the company’s board of directors
Offering tools, training and support, the agreement also unifies all signatories which allows them to share experiences along with successful ideas.
“This is a wonderful example to learn, progress, provide input and utilize ideas that have worked for other companies,” Haller said. “This is an opportunity to stand with industry leaders to listen, learn and take action.”
