Walbridge Named Construction Manager for Notre Dame Project

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Walbridge will serve as construction manager to the renovation of two sports facilities at the University of Notre Dame.

The renovation of the Joyce Center fieldhouse is expected to be completed by year end 2017. After the renovation, it will serve as the new RecSports basketball facility for Notre Dame students, while continuing to serve as the home of the Varsity Fencing program.

Following that project, the team will renovate the Rolfs Sports Center. Currently serving as the home of RecSports, the building will become a dedicated practice facility for the Notre Dame Men’s and Women’s Varsity Basketball teams. Construction is expected to begin in early 2018, with completion before practice begins for the 2018-19 basketball season.

Walbridge has done previous work with Notre Dame, completing a renovation and addition at Morris Inn in 2015.

Walbridge has worked on more than $2 billion in higher education construction and completed more than 11 million square feet in the industry since 2006.
