Walbridge Lone Construction Company To Win National Wellness Award

  • December 23, 2015

WARREN, MI – The National Association for Business Resources (NABR) has named Walbridge a 2015 Best and Brightest in Wellness® Company winner. It is the second time in 2015 Walbridge has been recognized nationally for the quality of its health and wellness program. In October, the Corporate Health & Wellness Association named Walbridge one of its 2015 Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America.

NABR evaluated companies by an assessment created and administered by SynBella, the nation’s leading wellness systems firm. Entries were examined statistically for quantitative data and examined on a point system based on criteria to benchmark and improve wellness program effectiveness, according to NABR.

NABR stated that a healthy and happy workforce leads to a healthy company bottom line and this year’s winning companies represent high standards and an exceptional commitment to healthy employees, healthy families and a healthy community.

Walbridge was the only construction company among this year’s national Best and Brightest in Wellness® winners. Terry Merritt, Walbridge Senior Vice President, called the award “a great honor” and said keeping the focus on health and wellness will be a priority for the company in 2016.

“We will continue to explore ways to enhance our program so it remains relevant and up to date,” Merritt said. “We’ll also keep working with our employees to ensure they take advantage of every opportunity to improve their health.”

Companies selected as a national Best and Brightest in Wellness® organization will be featured in the Jan. 21, 2016 online edition of Corp! Magazine.
