PITTSBURGH, Pa. — Kirk Schwab, a senior executive with 32 years of experience in engineering and construction with a focus in the water and wastewater industry, both in the U.S. and internationally, has joined Walbridge Industrial Process (WIP) as Project Director at its Pittsburgh office.
Responding to growth and demand for its services, WIP will rely on Schwab’s considerable experience and track record in executing business strategies and onboarding talent to help the company meet its objectives. Additionally, Schwab will be responsible for delivering total operational excellence to customers; from conception to completion, he will manage project teams, communicate goals and establish project strategies aimed at delivering positive, predictable outcomes.
Schwab’s prior experience includes working in a variety of roles, including estimator, field engineer, construction manager and Executive Vice President & General Manager. Most recently, Schwab was Executive Vice President and G.M. for Veolia Water Solutions and Technologies, Pittsburgh Business Unit. There, he led the significant development and growth of the company’s design-build industrial water and wastewater portfolio.
Prior to that, he held positions with Vivendi, U.S. Filter, Chester Engineers, Michael Baker, Jr. Engineering, Miles Developing and Contracting and Northwest Engineering.
Schwab graduated from Edinboro University in Edinboro, Pa. with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science.
