Riverview, Mich. – Walbridge joined client Piramal Pharma Solutions (PPS) during the grand opening of a new wing to its Riverview, Michigan location for lab work and office space that supports growth.
During the June 19 event, Walbridge Vice President of Business Development Dave Robson joined a number of PPS leadership and area dignitaries, including Riverview Mayor Andrew Swift, Wayne County Executive Warren C. Evans and other officials representing the City of Riverview, Wayne County and Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC).
The new wing to the location will “handle HPAPIs with OELs <1mcg/m3 and as low as ~20ng/m3. Materials will primarily be produced in this new wing at kilo-lab scales; lots of <5 kilos can be produced in this new state-of-the-art facility,” according to the company. It includes a QC analytical chemistry lab and two process laboratories for high potency/containment chemistry.
PPS, a contract development and manufacturing organization, offers “end-to-end development and manufacturing solutions across the drug life cycle.”
The office space addition coupled with the highly technical lab space fit well with Walbridge’s high-level office and manufacturing general contracting resume.
“This was an exciting expansion for PPS and Walbridge was thrilled to stand with them to complete our second project,” Robson said. “They’re an innovative company, one that’s making a big impact in the Riverview and Greater Detroit area and we’re excited to see the company’s continued growth.”
