Detroit, Mich. – Walbridge is among Michigan’s Best & Brightest as well as the top companies in the state for wellness.
For the 18th consecutive year, Walbridge was named among Metropolitan Detroit’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For®. Additionally, it was named Michigan’s Best and Brightest in Wellness for the 9th year in a row.
“The Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® competition identifies and honors organizations that display a commitment to excellence in their people practices and employee enrichment. Organizations are assessed based on categories such as communication, work-life balance, employee education, diversity, recognition, retention and more,” according to the Metropolitan Detroit’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® website.
Walbridge Director of Human Resources / Diversity & Inclusion Rick Krout said the honor speaks to the high level of dedication Walbridge has for employees.

“Our employees deliver our Core Purpose to ‘Deliver world class facility and related services for our customers’ success,’ every day,” Krout said. “We’re proud to continue offering great employee services for them and their families. We’re grateful for their continued input to keep Walbridge as a leader in the state and in our industry.”
Separately from the Metropolitan Detroit’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® award, Walbridge was named to its annual Michigan’s Best and Brightest in Wellness award. Winning companies are evaluated by an assessment that looks at outcomes, analysis, tracking, participation, incentives, benefits, program, leadership, employee input, culture and environment.
Although 2020 brought many challenges with COVID-19, Krout said the company’s focus has been keeping employees and their families safe and healthy.
“The health, safety and engagement of all of our employees is extremely important to our company,” Krout said. “We’re immensely proud of this honor, especially given the challenging year.”
