Walbridge returned to Stockwell Residence Hall 70 years after building it to serve as construction manager of a $27 million renovation project. Stockwell, which is not a co-ed residence hall, was the first women’s dormitory erected on the University of Michigan campus.

Its renovations brought modern amenities such as air conditioning and wireless internet, as well as updated student lounges, kitchenettes and community bathrooms. Stockwell’s old dining room was converted into community spaces that include a learning center, music practice room, recreation room, lounge and informal performance space.
