Detroit-based Roxbury Group selected Walbridge as construction manager for The Griswold, a $24 million apartment complex located next to the Westin Book Cadillac Hotel. The 80-unit complex was built atop an existing 10-story parking garage and retail structure, which Walbridge constructed for Roxbury in 2008.
Kraemer Design Group is the architect. Roxbury, Kraemer and Walbridge last teamed on redevelopment of the historic David Whitney Building in Detroit. The 100-year-old building now houses a 136-room Aloft Hotel and 100 apartments.
The Griswold includes one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments ranging in size from 750 square feet to 1,600 square feet.
Units feature nine-foot-high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows and balconies on some units.
