Walbridge was selected for the Edison Campus Enhancement Project, which included renovation of approximately 114,000 square feet of existing office space, enclosing an existing exterior plaza, constructing a new pedestrian bridge, making renovations to the main lobby and extensive landscaping and site improvements.

A new, 40,000-square-foot Town Square connects three vintage buildings and offers a vibrant central gathering space for DTE Energy staff. Seating for approximately 400 people is provided in a 25,000-square-foot open dining facility flooded with natural sunlight from surrounding glass walls and 16 skylights.

The project included sustainable design elements, including the main visitors’ entrance at the corner of Bagley and Third, where water flows from three arches that frame the main driveway into a 26,000-square-foot reflecting pond. Construction cost for the project was $50.2 million.
