In a public-private partnership with EdR, Northern Michigan University is having six new residence hall buildings constructed on its campus in Marquette. Once completed, NMU will have more than 1,200 new beds in more than 350,000 square feet in the six new buildings.
Walbridge was selected by EdR to manage construction. EdR, based in Memphis, is one of the nation’s largest developers, owners and managers of high-quality collegiate housing communities.
Neumann/Smith is the project architect. Construction began in the summer of 2016 and all buildings were completed in 2018.
