As part of a $36 million, four-school program for Ecorse County Schools, Walbridge replaced the 70-year-old Ecorse Senior High School with a new $20 million facility that includes science labs, computer classrooms, vocational shops, a media center and district administrative offices; as well a six-lane pool, baseball/softball fields, tennis courts, and a combo track-football field with a press box, stadium bleachers, a concessions building, score board and irrigation system.

The Ecorse program also brought renovations to the district’s Junior High School and an elementary school, which included asbestos abatement, new building entrances, cabinets and an expanded multi-purpose room, window and door replacement, roof and floor replacement.

Walbridge also replaced an inadequate, older elementary school with a new $7 million facility that features various classrooms, a general office, gymnasium, library, multi-purpose room and kitchen.
