Walbridge provided construction management services for this 24-bed critical access hospital. It included a new 4,000-square-foot administration building that houses 10 offices, a classroom / conference room and board meeting room. The site also features a helipad.
Work on the new hospital had to be coordinated with the continuing operation of the existing 60-year-old hospital, which was located next to the construction site. Construction was completed within 13 months and 96,000 work hours were logged without a single lost-time accident. The project was delivered at a cost-per-bed that was approximately 45 percent below the national average for critical access facilities.
