Walbridge provided general contracting services for an $11.5 million expansion project at BMW’s E-70/71 Assembly Shop in South Carolina. The expansion brought an addition to the existing assembly facility and modifications to an existing fluid-fill tank farm.
The work was carried out in a way that caused minimal impact and disruption to production. This included strategic use of non-operating hours to accomplish work within operating production areas, and the project was performed in two distinct phases. Close coordination with the plant was required, which sometimes involved a two-week notice for assistance.
