DETROIT – Christine Nowak, Assistant Vice President of Project Controls, has been named the 2012 Walbridge Mentor of the Year. Nowak, who joined the company in 1989, was recognized for consistently demonstrating an exceptional measure of support and guidance and having the greatest impact on a protégé’s professional development during the year.
Nowak, who mentored Walbridge Contracts Coordinator Angelita Razor, started in the program in 2001 as a protégé and has since served as a mentor for 11 straight years.
Razor and Allen Marden, a Project Coordinator, were named 2012 Walbridge Protégés of the Year. This award recognizes protégés who demonstrated the greatest degree of professional and career development during the year. Participants were judged on their success at achieving or making significant progress toward achieving goals developed at the beginning of the mentoring period, knowledge of their discipline, and serving as a role model for other employees.
Walbridge’s Mentoring Program is in its 12th year.
