• Project Management Controls Systems (PMCS) – At Walbridge, we’ve invested over 90 years into customizing the best project management and control procedures in the construction industry.
• Project Management Web Site – In the fast-paced, detail-oriented world of construction, real-time, accurate information can be critical to decision making. Based on this principle, we piloted and instituted a project management Web site that pulls data from our databases and provides real-time project information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from anywhere in the world. System tracking capabilities include project budgets, photos, schedules, information requests and personalized action items. We provide training to all team members free of charge and employ full time project controls personnel to assist in system administration.
• PC Tablets and Mobile Devices– Advancements in laptop and mobile hand-held device technology have brought PC tablets and other innovative tools to the forefront of construction technology. With the use of these devices, drawings can be redlined, specifications can be referenced or punch lists can be updated in the field, saving hours in information transfer.
• Visual Scheduling and Logistics – Walbridge employs visual scheduling and logistics mapping. Using 2D or 3D photos, project drawings and master project schedules, we create interactive documents that quickly display your project’s critical schedule and logistical information.
• Webcams –Walbridge has the capability to make your project visible from anywhere in there world by establishing on-site webcams. Webcam images can be compiled into dynamic time-lapse videos upon project completion–a valuable record for your firm’s history.
• Visual Installation Management – When your facility nears completion, you’ll find the most innovative visual management process for installation, check-out, start-up and turnover in the construction industry. On a recent project, this process cut the customer’s historical commissioning time in half. This visual management tool is a value-added service. Decisions on its use are made on a project-by-project basis according to customer requirements, feasibility and budget.
