Representatives from the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality presented the Global Engine Manufacturing Alliance Dundee plant with a Green Corporate Citizen Award. GEMA, supported by the Walbridge Facility Management team, helped reduce production costs by as much as $5 per engine through sustainable solutions and conservation.
Walbridge Facility Management’s on-site team initiated and implemented many of GEMA’s sustainable measures including lighting reductions, recycling of water used in floor scrubbers and dunnage washing water filtration and reuse. WFM made additional improvements to efficiency in the powerhouse, bulk material handling area and plant operations.
